LUMINGLAS™
Developed
by Wayne Strattman, Luminglas looks
like a science experiment sealed between
two sheets
of glass. Created through a patented process
(Patent # 5,383,295), Luminglas by
Strattman Design has found applications in
nightclubs, museum
displays, commercial and home interiors and has
appeared prominently in the feature film Star
Trek: First Contact and the television
program
Star Trek: Voyager.

PLASMA
GLOBES
Like
colored lightning in a bottle is how
many people describe the fascinating phenomenon
of
plasma globes. Since 1983, Strattman Design offers
the largest commercially available plasma
globes
in the world, at affordable prices. Custom shapes
and sizes are also available.
See our very interesting array of creative applications,
for example, in the shape of a human head or
glass
jars.
PLASMA
TUBES
Plasma
tubes are similar to plasma globes except
the
glass is in the shape of a tube, which can be
formed into almost any shape, simple or creative.
The ionized gas undulates like the Northern Lights,
and can be manufactured to change rapidly
in an
energetic movement, or slowly in a soothing ribbon
of light.
MESMER
TUBES
Named after the famous 18th century French physician Franz Mesmer. Mesmerism, considered the intellectual precursor of modern hypnosis, was the inspiration for the development of these slowly undulating tubes which truly provide a hypnotic quality.
CRACKLE
TUBES & DESIGNS
If
you took the guts of Luminglas and
poured them into a test tube, this is what
you'd have!
Eye-catching tubular displays, filled with brightly-colored
lightning. These aren't the Crackle Tubes
of old...this
is exciting new technology,
from the little ol' mad scientists (okay...we're
not really mad...but "happy scientists"
just doesn't have the same ring to it) at Strattman
Design.
LIGHTNING
TUBES
Lightning
tubes, although straw-like in cross-section,
can
be formed to almost any shape you'd like - simple
or complex, abstract or representational. Even
though
it's the same glass tubing used in neon signs,
the gas inside is specially formulated to ionize
(glow)
in thin streams of light, much like dancing spaghetti.
The motion of the light streams can be manufatured
to be slow or fast.
