About Our Plasma Globes:

Strattman Design produces the majority of the world’s museum-quality large-scale plasma globes, with quality products for over 30 years.

Our globes are available in diameters of 14″, 18″, 22″, 24″, and 30″. They are made from borosilicate glass, the same strong and durable glass used to make laboratory ware.

Filled with our custom mixtures of inert gases, these globes are crafted to the highest standards in the industry and provide many years of reliable performance. Their interactive dynamic “lightning” attracts the eye and stimulates the imagination, with a mesmerizing display of moving plasma light that interacts with touch. 

Hundreds of science museums worldwide display our globes for electricity demonstrations. And, they make a stunning visual attraction for many creative display settings.

We offer a variety of effects. Our Classic Plasma Globe contains an internal glass electrode that results in “fingers” of plasma that emanate outwards from the center. The filaments of light are a mix of red and blue colors, mixing to create purple. Looking for a globe with a unique color? Ask about custom options!

Our Bright Blue Plasma Globe has no internal electrode. As a result, the filament of light looks more like a “ribbon” of plasma that moves throughout the entire space. This gas fill is our brightest plasma display in ambient light. It is even more brilliant in the dark!
